There's
no two ways about it. Adam Dorn a.k.a mocean worker is a true
Renaissance man. Consistently active as a recording artist,
working DJ, Producer, Composer for films and collaborator
to a host of notable artists, Adam has hit full artistic stride
and shows little sign of slowing down any time soon.
Clearly, He is not one to be pigeonholed. He is diverse and
dynamic . In the last 3 years he's toured Europe and the
United States, South America, and worked on the film soundtrack
to Wim Wenders' "Million Dollar Hotel" alongside Bono, Brian
Eno, Daniel Lanois and Hal Wilner. He's also been collaborating
with John Cale both on-stage and in the studio and is has
worked with Laurie Anderson. Recently has has written the
score to the new HBO series "Downloading Sex, nerve.com"
and has also worked with EPIC recording artists Tenacious
D as well. put it to you this way he likes to bounce around
and not do the same thing over and over again. He has now
scored 4 full length fillms, written 3 tv show themes, and
has his music licensed for over 30 fillms and TV shows.
Its been a busy past three years
Born
into a musically permissive family on the outskirts of Philadelphia,
Adam received an early taste of the artistic-alternative
lifestyle. His father, Grammy Award-winning producer Joel
Dorn, was extremely prolific in the seventies and it wasn't
unusual for Adam to encounter artists like Miles Davis or
the Neville Brothers visiting his home. It was in those
early days that he knew he would be doing a lot of different
things within the music business. So be it film scores,
albums under his moniker Mocean Worker, remixes for other
artists, Dj gigs, themes for TV shows or whatever..... Adam
just likes to be around interesting projects.
